UHMW polyethylene features ultra high molecular weight of 4.0 million or greater, good abrasion, chemical and corrosion resistance, good impact strength, and a very low coefficient of friction. Unlubricated surfaces in contact with UHMW polyethylene receive less frictional wear than if they were in contact with any other plastic. This lightweight material also provides noise abatement, and functions well in temperatures ranging from -250ºC to 82ºC. We supply UHMW rods in black and natural colours, and in a variety of diameters.
