Internal gear pumps by Blackmer have a revolutionary seal-less design
Blackmer makes three kinds of internal gear pumps.
Blackmer teams up with the distribution team atJohn Brooks Company Limitedto make its fluid-handling solutions available in Canada. One example is Blackmer’s EnviroGear brand of internal gear pumps, which are designed to save users money by offering a low initial cost, high performance, and minimal maintenance expenses.
To help boost both worker and environmental safety by effectively eliminating leaks and mechanical wear, theseinternal gear pumpshave a revolutionary seal-less design with a patented between-the-bearing support system.
With one single-fluid chamber
What distinguishes the EnviroGear line from traditional magnetically coupled positive displacement pumps is that every unit has one single-fluid chamber. Standard pumps of this kind are designed with two liquid chambers separated by an adapter plate, which has the disadvantage of product entrapment and unreliability when moving high-viscosity fluids. But these Blackmer internal gear pumps are seal-less and use magnets mounted directly to the rotor, which eliminates the requirement for an adapter plate and enables a single-fluid chamber. As a result, users get a far shorter, simpler flow path, and the pump can easily handle liquids with viscosity as high as 50,000 centistokes while boosting cleaning capability and bearing life.
Another benefit: Blackmer has designed these pumps to be interchangeable with 95 per cent of the internal gear pumps on the market – which means no piping, driver, coupling, flow-rate, or baseplate changes.John Brooks Companyrecommends the EnviroGear series for such applications as adhesives, food processing, biofuels, printing, petrochemicals, lube oil and grease, petroleum additives, resin, chemicals, paint and coatings, polyurethane, and soap.
John Brooks Company carries the following three sub-series of these internal gear pumps:
