Murphy produces these fans with top materials as per these exacting specifications, making the housing with heavy gauge steel and bracing it with steel angles. The company also welds the scroll wrap continuously to the side plates to create a dust-tight, rugged casing.
An important factor in these fans is balanced wheels that are statically and dynamically balanced for smooth operation; they are carefully designed, tested, and constructed to give superior performance. The heavy-duty, self-aligning pillow block bearings are securely fastened to a strong plate pedestal.
N.R. Murphy carries many types and sizes of exhaust fans. For heavy-duty material handling, Model EH is recommended, while Models EM-1 and EH-1 are best for light-duty handling, and Model EA-1 is best suited for air. All of these centrifugal blowers, except for arrangement Number 4, can handle air as hot as 315 degrees Celsius. Fan charts, based on standard air of 0.075 density, are available to help users pick the correct air volume and pressure.
