Conversion into standardized output signals
Temperature transmitter devices by MINCO are designed to convert input signals from a broad variety of temperature sensors into standardized analog or digital output signals. Examples of these sensors include resistance thermometers, thermocouples, and potentiometers.Mod-Troniccarries two types of temperature transmitters: DIN rail-mounted models, and head-mounted models.
These programmable DIN rail-mounted temperature transmitters provide high measurement accuracy, stability, and dependability over a broad variety of process and ambient temperatures. Each has a compact design and dual channel options that help to accommodate multiple temperature measurements on a panel, which reduces both inventory and expenses. Options include high-accuracy calibration to MINCO resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) for better accuracy and input/output isolation to 600 VRMS.
Each DIN rail-mounted transmitter converts the RTD temperature into a linearized 4-to-20-mA DC-current signal. Since this current signal is immune to leadwire and electrical noise, users can obtain accurate temperature readings from RTDs thousands of feet away. An LED indicates control-loop status.
With three designs available, MINCO’s line of head-mounted temperature transmitters convert input signals from TC, RTDs, linear volts, and linear resistance into scalable 4-to-20-mA analog output signals. Mod-Tronic carries fixed-range miniature rectangular temperature transmitters, fixed-range round temperature transmitters, and programmable round temperature transmitters.
MINCO also manufactures three types of humidity transmitters, all of which are designed using an advanced microprocessor: humidity transmitters with optional temperature sensors; intrinsically safe humidity transmitters with optional temperature sensors; and humidity/temperature assembly transmitters for hazardous areas. The latter two each have a thin film capacity sensing element, while the first one has a capacitive monolithic IC sensing element. These sensors have electrical transmission outputs for remote indication of humidity.
